Welcome to my home page

I am an assistant professor in Computer Science at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies, the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje.

My research interests are in the areas of Statistical Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Bioinformatics, Artificial Intelligence, Algorithms and Data Structures, Parallel Algorithms.

Considerable amount of time I spend on developing and implementing new algorithms used in news aggregators, more specifically for the Macedonian news aggregator TIME.mk, whose engine is also running srb.TIME.mk, cro.TIME.mk, shqip.TIME.mk, bg.TIME.mk and TIMES.si.

Also, I work on improvements of SEGS (Search for Enriched Gene Sets), a web tool for descriptive analysis of microarray data. I developed SEGS as part of my PhD thesis Functional Interpretation of Gene Expression Data.

Starting from 2010, I work on development of NLP tools for processing macedonian language texts, like large monolingual corpus (1 billion words), parallel macedonian - english corpus (1 million sentences) and creation of macedonian semantic lexicon (macedonian WordNet).

My complete Curriculum Vitae can be found here.

   - The invisible guardians let Alvin pass, and as Diaspar lay spread out beneath him, he know that he had come home. However much the universe and its mysteries might call him, this was where he was born and where he belonged. It would never satisfy him, yes always he would return. He had gone half-way across the Galaxy to learn this simple truth. -
